In a recent interview, New Yorker editor David Remnick challenged Barbra Streisand's claim from her memoir that she couldn't remember if she had sex with Warren Beatty. Streisand, reflecting on their long friendship, stated she knew they slept in the same bed but was uncertain about any sexual acts. Remnick humorously called her statement into question, suggesting it was an unprecedented claim. Throughout their careers, both Streisand and Beatty have maintained a level of mystery about their past interactions, emphasizing the complexities of celebrity relationships and memory.
Possibly the greatest line in the whole book, to my mind, is you say you can't remember if you slept with Warren Beatty. Now, I don't think anyone has ever written that line in the history of sex, or Hollywood, or anything.
I know I slept in the bed with him, but I can't remember if we actually had penetration. I swear to God, I can't.
I didn't think I would ever say this in my entire life, but it might be that I'm calling (expletive) on Barbra Streisand. Is that possible?
Perhaps, Remnick should have reached out to the Bonnie and Clyde star to ask if he remembers having sex with Streisand.
