President Trump has filed a libel lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal, demanding at least $20 billion in damages for a story alleging he signed a 'bawdy' birthday letter to Jeffrey Epstein. The White House has removed the Journal's reporter from the press pool for Trump's upcoming trip to Scotland, citing the paper's 'fake and defamatory conduct.' The letter reportedly included a message and a drawing of a nude woman, which Trump has denied as being authentic, labeling it a 'FAKE.'
The Wall Street Journal published a story claiming the letter, from the early 2000s, featured Mr. Trump's signature as well as a birthday message and a drawing of a nude woman.
Mr. Trump filed a libel lawsuit over the story on Friday, asking for at least $20 billion in damages.
Due to the Wall Street Journal's fake and defamatory conduct, they will not be one of the thirteen outlets on board.
The president has denied the report, calling the letter a 'FAKE.'
