Super Mario Party Jamboree for the Nintendo Switch 2 offers little improvement over its predecessor, failing to utilize the console's enhanced capabilities. The Jamboree TV add-on lacks integration with the base game, missing features like Pro Rules and record tracking. The game operates at 1440p docked while the base is at 1080p. Despite some mixed reviews on the new modes, the overall package appears inadequate, lacking new boards and significant mini-games, resulting in it feeling like a tech demo rather than a substantial addition to the series.
Jamboree TV runs in 1440p docked, but Jamboree is 1080p docked and still a noticeable 720p handheld.
It's a great idea in theory, especially because it's an absurd riot to see my friends' bodies emerge from warp pipes on screen.
The catch is that there are barely any minigames to support it all.
The Jamboree TV section doesn't sound substantial enough to make up for the missed opportunity of enhanced gameplay.
