Alex Ovechkin partnered with Giant Food to produce Ovi's Great Crunch, a cornflakes-style limited-edition cereal celebrating his NHL all-time goals record. The cereal will be available beginning Sept. 19 at all 163 Giant Food stores across Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware while supplies last. A portion of sales will support THE GR8 CHASE For Victory Over Cancer and encourage donations to the V Foundation. A commercial features Ovechkin in the black Screaming Eagle jersey scoring at MedStar Capitals Iceplex while a narrator chronicles his achievement and Ovechkin proclaims, "It's crunch time!" Ovechkin previously released Ovi O's in 2019, which quickly sold out and was restocked, and he participated in in-store promotion as a cashier.
