Pierrick Dubé has signed a one-year contract with KHL's Traktor Chelyabinsk after becoming an unrestricted free agent when the Capitals chose not to extend him. Pierrick Dubé has signed a one-year contract with KHL’s Traktor Chelyabinsk after becoming an unrestricted free agent when the Capitals declined to extend him a qualifying offer.
During two seasons with Hershey, Dubé recorded 88 points in 124 games and made his NHL debut with the Capitals, scoring a hat trick in the 2024 Calder Cup Finals.
Traktor finished as runners-up in the KHL last season and will have a French Canadian coaching staff, with head coach Benoit Groulx and assistant coach Raphael-Pier Richer.
Former Bears goalie Zach Fucale moved on in free agency, making way for former NHL goalie Chris Driedger, against whom Dubé scored in the playoffs.
