Davidson found a rhythm and finished with 14 points, five rebounds, four assists, a block and a steal as USC defeated New Mexico State 87-48 in the season opener. Three other Trojans scored in double figures: Londynn Jones led with 16 points, Kara Dunn scored 12 with eight rebounds, and Kennedy Smith added 11. Davidson produced back-to-back mid-range scores in the third quarter and drew a double team that led to a corner three by Dunn, pushing the lead to 30 points.
