'We feel so blessed': Caitlin Clark gives Iowa hoops special shipment of her player edition sneaker
Briefly

Caitlin Clark surprised the Iowa Hawkeyes basketball teams with player-exclusive Nike Kobe 5 Protro sneakers. She has regularly worn Kobe Bryant's signature sneaker since her time at Iowa. In the 2024 NCAA tournament, she sported the "Bruce Lee" edition, a tribute to her legacy with the Hawkeyes. Clark expressed her admiration for the Kobe brand, having signed an eight-year, $28 million deal with Nike in 2024. Her custom Nike designs reflect her achievements, including her 'Rookie of the Year' recognition.
"I'm a Kobe person," Clark said last season. "Everybody knows that. It's the best shoe. It's not even close. ... So, obviously, just to wear [Kobe's] shoe..."
"Thanks to [Caitlin Clark] for being that great ... we feel so blessed," Iowa women's basketball head coach Jan Jensen said.
