"It's not a typical seaside resort. Instead, it's a true hideaway from the world where you can admire the sea and its impressive power,"
"a place where your heart can heal as you admire the incredible views of the Gulf of Portofino."
"The property, which is more than 4,300 square feet, overlooks one of the most magical corners of the Ligurian Sea,"
"The foremost concern was to create a place for the entire family, to be handed down from generation to generation,"
Villa Badia perches on the Portofino coast near Santa Margherita Ligure between Portofino and Rapallo, occupying a dramatic peninsula-like site. The property spans more than 4,300 square feet and faces a powerful stretch of the Ligurian Sea. The villa originated as a bourgeois 1950s home and underwent a restoration that preserves its character while adding poetic touches. Architects prioritized creating a family home to be handed down through generations and an ideal weekend retreat removed from city stresses. The design uses a neutral palette and porous surfaces to balance austerity and emotion and to celebrate seaside living.
