This Balcony's $117 Transformation Makes Old IKEA Furniture Feel New
Briefly

After the birth of their son, Marina Welles and her husband rarely used their small balcony. Nearly two years later, they decided to revamp it into an outdoor oasis. Using mostly existing items, they enhanced the space for relaxation. They applied a weather-protective sealant to their old IKEA furniture and repurposed decor from their home. The addition of new lighting and a privacy screen built from a trellis completed the transformation, making their balcony a cozy haven for morning coffee and evening relaxation.
"We felt like it was finally time to give the balcony a little makeover - especially now that our little one sleeps in his own room in the evenings. It means we can actually sit out there again at night or enjoy our first coffee out there on weekend mornings."
"Most of us already have plenty of decor pieces or lights that can be reused. With a fresh coat of paint or in a different setting, they can feel completely new."
