Test aircraft with nuclear capabilities apparently seen flying over Calif.
"The triangular, highly advanced bomber, which still appears to be in its testing phase, is 'designed to deliver both conventional and nuclear payloads' and will ultimately form 'the backbone of the future Air Force bomber force.' The aircraft was spotted as the U.S. continues to wage war on Iran, and just a few days earlier, the Boeing E-6B Mercury - colloquially known as the 'Doomsday Plane' - was seen flying low over the Fresno area."
"The Stratotanker departed from the Edwards Air Force Base on the morning of March 10 and remained in flight for over five hours. During its route, it flew over Lone Pine, a small town in eastern California that is a gateway to Death Valley, and made several loops over the national park. Multiple planespotters on the ground below captured footage and photos of the two planes soaring overhead, sharing them on social media."
"Northrop Grumman, the aerospace company that helped engineer the B-21 in partnership with the Air Force, said the aircraft is meant to strike targets anywhere in the world. The aircraft has been years in the making and is part of a multibillion-dollar plan to develop a new generation of stealth bombers."
A Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker conducted a five-hour flight from Edwards Air Force Base on March 10, apparently tethered to a B-21 Raider stealth bomber still in development. The aircraft flew over eastern California, including Lone Pine and Death Valley, with multiple ground observers capturing footage. The B-21 Raider is a triangular, highly advanced bomber designed to deliver conventional and nuclear payloads and will form the backbone of the future Air Force bomber force. Developed by Northrop Grumman in partnership with the Air Force, the B-21 is part of a multibillion-dollar stealth bomber development program intended to strike targets globally. A second B-21 test aircraft recently arrived at Edwards Air Force Base.
