Just this morning, analysts at Mizuho reiterated an outperform rating on Advanced Micro Devices ( NASDAQ: AMD) with a price target of $275 from $205. All after AMD announced a long-term deal to become a key supplier to OpenAI's AI infrastructure program. It will also allow it to generate over $100 billion in total revenue from chips over the next few years.
HP ZBooks are synonymous with power, which is why ITPro has reviewed a handful of machines in this lineup so favourably - if all guns blazing performance is what you're looking for, you'd be hard-pressed to look any further. Lisa Su, the CEO of Advanced Micro Devices, has built one of the world's most valuable companies and made investors billions- but is barely a billionaire herself. She has delivered a 70-fold increase in her company's stock price during her 11 years in charge, including a 41% surge this week to fresh highs thanks to its OpenAI partnership. The chipmaker's market value has soared to $378 billion, surpassing Home Depot, Bank of America, and Procter & Gamble.
AMD has sold 6 gigawatts and $90 billion worth of AI capacity to OpenAI. In addition, the arrangement sets up the ChatGPT maker to purchase up to 10 percent of AMD's shares. The deal inspires extraordinary confidence in Nvidia's biggest competitor. Why? First, OpenAI will use a single gigawatt of Instinct MI450 GPUs for AI calculations. As it happens, this chip design will not be released for another year.

With that, Bitcoin was up by 20% (give or take a few percentage points) at the end of August. That's an impressive year-to-date performance, and some commentators are bracing for even higher Bitcoin prices.
During the company's Q2 earnings call, president Martin Lau stated, "From our own perspective, we do have enough chips for training and continuous upgrade of our existing models." Lau emphasized that Tencent is executing numerous software improvements to drive efficiency in inference, allowing for more workloads with the same number of chips.
