Bristol City's first-half blitz saw them move up to third in the Championship table with a 3-0 victory over struggling Sheffield Wednesday. Emil Riis should have made it 2-0 shortly after, but did get Bristol's second goal just 12 minutes later, meeting Anis Mehmeti's lovely ball through the goalkeeper's legs.

Esther Morgan, a 22-year-old Wales defender, has signed a two-year contract with Bristol City after a stint at Hearts in Scotland. Previously released by Tottenham, she also spent time on loan at Sheffield United. She has played 11 times for Wales, including all three group matches at Euro 2025.

While Bristol City enters the final match in the play-off places, their recent loss to Leeds highlights the pressure they face to secure a victory.
