Investigators say 89-year-old Klara Litvak, who lived nearby on Surf Avenue, died after being struck just before 1 p.m. Wednesday on Neptune Avenue. Police have identified the woman killed when a car reversed onto a sidewalk in Coney Island, hitting three people. According to police, an 86-year-old man driving a Chrysler SUV was backing out of a parking spot when he put the car in reverse and hit three women.

The 33-year-old driver was identified by the coroner's bureau Friday as Anthony Andres Reynoza Monchez, of Hayward. The fatal crash happened about 5:28 p.m. Thursday on westbound Thornton Avenue near Hickory Street, police said. Upon arrival at the scene, police and Alameda County firefighters located a Toyota Prius that had crashed into a tree, causing the passenger to be ejected.
