The free-to-play FPS Delta Force had a big weekend on Steam. The team-based tactical shooter jumped up the charts and exceeded 210,000 peak concurrent players on Sunday, August 24--that was the all-time peak. The game's player numbers are holding strong, too, remaining above 170,000 right now. The game launched in December 2024 on Steam and reached more than 100,000 concurrent players at the time. Since then, the player numbers for Delta Force on Steam have grown, peaking this past Sunday.

If you're on console, you can check in Settings > Game to ensure you have cross-play toggled on. If you'd prefer to only play with folks on consoles, you'll want to keep this toggled off. However, if your friends are on PC, this has to be toggled on for you to play with them. The game does not have a cross-play toggle on PC, meaning PC players will always be placed in potentially mixed lobbies.

Officially formed in the late 1970s, Delta Force was modeled after the British SAS and quickly became the U.S. military's premier counterterrorism and direct-action unit.

To celebrate the launch of Delta Force's "Break" Season, players can earn 20 Armament Vouchers and an Epic Weapon Appearance: SV-98 - Forest Hunter by participating in matches and missions.
