Thank you for this honor. I want to thank CBS for giving us the privilege to be part of the late night tradition, which I hope continues long after we're no longer doing this show. I gotta thank these people, those people up there, the 200 incredible professionals, you [all] are the pros from Dover and I'm so proud to be one of you.

I think it very accurately reflects my perspective on the industry, in that I am incredibly frustrated with some aspects of it, but also overall very enamored by it. The show is such a love letter to our world, and the reaction within our community is just incredible. And so many people are like, Oh, I think that was me. That was a conversation we had, right?' And I'm like, you don't want to know.

In 2015, the Emmys changed their voting procedures, ending the era of volunteer-based blue-ribbon panels of select Academy voters who had to watch all the submitted episodes before voting for the winners.

This year's Limited Series race underscores ongoing competition with Netflix, HBO, and FX contending for supremacy, having dominated the category for 13 consecutive years.

In all the years of the Emmys, only two shows about espionage have ever won the Outstanding Drama Series award: Mission: Impossible and Homeland.

In grouping these four shows together... I'm also struck by how they cover the breadth of what Emmy voters have valued in comedy series over the last several decades.
