Suraiya Khandoker argued the architects' plans would lead to voyeurism and were otherwise dangerous for women and girls. 'Only by having no men in the room are women and girls safeguarded in cubicles in a women-only room.'
Sarah Bourke, the assistant coroner, noted, "During the course of the inquest, the evidence revealed matters giving rise to concern. In my opinion, there is a risk that future deaths could occur unless action is taken." This indicates that without intervention from the council, similar tragedies could happen again.
