Our Lady of Mount Carmel is one of the few parish feasts left in the country that still included the Giglio and the boat. It has been going on for 138 years, and even though many of the old timers have moved away, they always come back. It's part of their heritage. It's part of their faith.

Pesche al vino, or peaches in wine, is as simple as it sounds: Get the ripest peaches you can, peel them if you want, slice them into half moons and toss them in your red wine of choice.

The Our Lady of Mount Carmel Feast has drawn hundreds of thousands for over a century, featuring the Giglio, a four-ton, 72-foot statue carried by 120 'lifters'.
