The Last Spacecraft Orbiting Venus Has Officially Died
JAXA has declared the Akatsuki spacecraft dead after losing contact; the mission returned eight years of Venus data and advanced Japan's first planetary exploration.
Japan's HTV-X cargo vehicle docked at the ISS, delivered supplies and experiments, and can operate for up to 18 months after departure to host additional payloads.
