The Washington Commanders could be without star quarterback Jayden Daniels for their Week 3 matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders because of a knee sprain. Daniels reportedly underwent an MRI following the Commanders' Week 2 loss to the Green Bay Packers last Thursday before having a final check-in with the Washington doctor on Monday. While checks on Daniels' knee did not reveal a long-term issue, the injury is serious enough to put Daniels' participation against the Raiders in jeopardy.

The Green Bay Packers defeated the Washington Commanders 27-18 after the Green and Gold held Washington to 230 total yards of offense and an average of 3.54 yards per play. This was the fewest offensive yards the Commanders have had since drafting quarterback Jayden Daniels. The Commanders also had no answer for Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love. He completed 19 of 31 passes for 292 yards, two passing touchdowns, and 12 rushing yards.

"I saw him out there. I congratulated him. What a year he had," Maye said. "I think there's always in the back of your mind the draft class you came in with, and anytime you play him, especially, it's a little different."

Zach Ertz caught 66 passes with seven touchdowns during the past season, showcasing his connection with quarterback Jayden Daniels, particularly evident in red zone practices.

There are so many areas that need work, though, that it's tough to land on just one player as the most important. So instead we came back around to the Commies' biggest (literally) offseason addition in [Laremy] Tunsil, who will be counted on to secure Jayden Daniels in the pocket.
