Maybe we ran into an old acquaintance at the supermarket and said "Let's catch up sometime" or told our friends we would "check out" the boring-sounding show they spent the past five minutes recommending? That's what country-music superstar Jelly Roll appeared to do after the Grammys last week when, in response to a question about the state of the country, he said he had "a lot to say"

Rock band Shinedown is the latest act to pull out of Robert James Ritchie's MAGA-adjacent "Rock the Country" music festival. "We know this decision will create differences of opinion. Jelly Roll has won the inaugural award for Best Contemporary Country Album at the 2026 Grammys. His album Beautifully Broken beat out records by Eric Church ( Evangeline vs. the Machine), Kelsea Ballerini ( Patterns), Miranda Lambert ( Postcards From Texas), and Tyler Childers ( Snipe Hunter). This is Jelly Roll's third win of the night out of three nominations. He's also taking home Best Country Duo/Group Performance for the Shaboozey duet "Amen" and Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for "Hard Fought Hallelujah" with Brandon Lake.

Jelly Roll is without his frosting. The country singer posted his first beardless vlog on November 20, unveiling a jawline and general face shape. "I feel like a Ninja Turtle," he wrote in the caption. While it doesn't look bad, it does feel wrong to see Jelly Roll without a beard. Technically, the public has been aware of the barren Roll for a while now, because his wife, Bunnie XO, posted a vlog of her reacting to him shaving on November 13,
