Keshad Johnson had a notable season with increased playing time and impressive fastbreak efficiency despite limited overall minutes.
A new dunk contest champion was crowned on Saturday night, and for the fourth time in NBA History, it was a Miami Heat player. Heat second-year forward Keshad Johnson took home the award, besting Spurs rookie Carter Bryant in the final round. Johnson's final round score (97.3) bested Bryant's (93.0), even though Bryant recorded a perfect 50 for one of his dunks.
Miami Heat high-flyer Keshad Johnson will be participating in the 2026 NBA Dunk Contest, the league announced. The All-Star weekend festivity is expected to be on Saturday, Feb. 14, inside the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif. The other participants will be San Antonio Spurs rookie Carter Bryant, Orlando Magic rookie Jase Richardson (the son of Jason, a two-time dunk contest champion) and Los Angeles Lakers big Jaxson Hayes.
