Firefox will add a global AI kill switch allowing users to disable all current and future AI features across the browser.
Update December 19: Following controversy over future AI features, Mozilla promises that Firefox will allow all new features to be disabled with a single button. Fierce criticism arose after Mozilla's brand-new CEO Anthony Enzor-DeMeo explained his vision for the future of the Firefox browser. Jake Archibald, Web Developer Relations Lead at Mozilla, confirms that this "kill switch" was already circulating internally under that name.
