Mayor Karen Bass directed changes to a Palisades fire after-action report to downplay LAFD and city failures and to avoid potential legal exposure.

LAFD edited its after-action report to downplay leadership failures and soften criticism after the Jan. 7 Palisades fire that killed 12.
