Julian Nagelsmann demanded change and will look to get a win against Northern Ireland who won 3-1 away to Luxembourg in the concurrent match. With the top team in this group qualifying directly to the tournament proper, Germany will look to recover from this early setback to avoid the play-offs early next year.

Anderson, given his first call-up by head coach Thomas Tuchel at the end of last month, is in line to get the nod in the 2026 World Cup qualifier at Villa Park later on Saturday (17:00 BST).
