DRAM and NAND flash contract prices are expected to surge sharply in Q1 2026 due to AI hyperscaler demand, higher PC shipments, and strained supply chains.
Just weeks after raising the price of its RAM modules, Framework has announced that it's also increasing the price of its desktop PC in response to the global memory shortage. The Framework Desktop with 32GB of RAM and an AMD Ryzen AI Max 385 chip now starts at $1,139, instead of $1,099. "We held off on it for as long as we could, but we had to update our Framework Desktop pricing today to account for the massive increase in LPDDR5x pricing from our suppliers," Framework says in a post on X.
Dell's laptop rebrand may have resulted in some shuffling around of naming conventions, but the new -- Dell's refreshed high-performance line of laptops -- looks a whole lot like the Dell XPS upon first glance. If you're confused about this laptop's placement in Dell's product placement hierarchy, it's in the consumer category, and the highest-tier model in that group. This makes it a premium, but accessible, laptop for pro creatives, designers, and tech enthusiasts.
But the machine is far from the fastest GPU in Nvidia's lineup. It's not going to beat out an RTX 5090 in large language model (LLM) inference, fine tuning, or even image generation - never mind gaming. What the DGX Spark, and the slew of GB10-based systems hitting the market tomorrow, can do is run models the 5090 or any other consumer graphics card on the market today simply can't.
