A soccer match between Argentina and Puerto Rico, originally scheduled for next week in Chicago, has been relocated to Florida amid the immigration crackdown in the city, a person familiar with the decision told the Associated Press on Wednesday. The friendly match was supposed to be played on 13 October at Soldier Field in Chicago but will be moved to Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, the home stadium of Argentina and Inter Miami star Lionel Messi.
Barcelona have confirmed Camp Nou will not be ready to host Sunday's game against Getafe in LaLiga, forcing them to relocate their second match in a week. Barca last played at Camp Nou in May 2023, with the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys at Montjuic becoming their temporary home during a €1.5billion renovation. They were due to return to Camp Nou for last Sunday's meeting with Valencia, after playing their first three games of the season away from home.
