Muir Woods National Monument reopened last Thursday and will remain open to the public through Oct. 31. The National Park Service closed the park because of the federal government shutdown that began Oct. 1. Private donations enabled park operations to briefly resume. Must See Tours is one of the businesses that organized the reopening. The San Francisco company is offering daily morning and evening tours at the park.
