The Lost Boys is out for blood, adapted from the 1987 coming-of-fangs film about teenagers fighting a vampire infestation in southern California. This show aims to set your pulse bounding; no other new tuner this season has been so ambitious in scope or anywhere near so spectacular in stagecraft.

The burning question of whether Tommy Tiernan can sing was answered at the world premiere of The House Must Win in the Pavilion Theatre, Dún Laoghaire, on Friday night.

The film resorts to increasingly manipulative tactics to wring out every drop of available emotion from the audience, like some merciless warden during exercise hour.

Yet, I laughed harder - and certainly more often - during opening night of "Shucked" at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco than I did while watching any of those other entirely worthy productions. There are 498,735 jokes (give or take) in this 2022 musical, which received nine nominations - including for Best Musical - at the 76th Tony Awards. And roughly 498,736 of jokes work (do the math and you'll see what I did there) in "Shucked," which is making its West Coast debut at the Curran.

"If someone asked me to write for a stupid kids thing, I would find it difficult because I don't like talking down to anyone, much less kids."

The immersive production of Grease at Battersea features attractions like a Ferris Wheel, transporting guests to a joyously picturesque 1959 theme park before the show starts.

Much has been dramatised about Wolfgang's rivalry with Salieri, but 'Saving Mozart' refreshingly focuses on Mozart's relationships closer to home, starting with him as a child.

As trans rights and freedoms are in jeopardy, revisiting this story feels timely and necessary. We need more stories that show folks...
