If you do happen to see a rattlesnake, leave it be. Move slowly and carefully around or away from the animal, giving it lots of space.
While usually not an aggressive animal, rattlesnakes tend to avoid people, and bites are extremely rareâthey can be dangerous if they feel threatened.
