I had written a book about five or six years ago, kind of with Oscar Robertson, on the ABA, the Robertson suit that led to free agency, the mergers of the leagues, it was kind of an NBA history book of the '60s and '70s. It was great fun to do, because I'm interviewing all those guys who were playing as the best players on their team. No connection, but guys are dying. I'd done the last interviews with Havlicek and Wes Unseld.
Sam Smith has entered their food influencer era. This week, what appears to have once been their secret Instagram food account went rather public. The account, SamServed, has posts that date back to November of last year, in which Smith waxes poetic about a Copenhagen restaurant called Kebabistan. Now, the account is quickly gaining followers.
British pop and soul star Sam Smith is back on the road in 2026 with a series of concerts and a special residency run, marking one of the year's most anticipated live music events. After a run of shows in late 2025 that included an extended 'To Be Free' residency in Brooklyn, Smith has expanded their performance schedule into February and March 2026 with a residency at San Francisco's historic Castro Theatre - part of the venue's grand reopening.
