Paris Saint-Germain left it late to snatch all three points in their Ligue 1 clash at home to Nice to preserve a two-point lead at the top. It seemed as though the Champions League winners were set to drop points for the second game in a row until, with the game goalless, Goncalo Ramos netted in the 95th minute to give Luis Enrique's men the win that keeps them above Marseille at the summit of the French top-flight.

After all, there were less than 10 minutes remaining and the Spaniards had survived a flurry of missed chances before drawing level in a game in which they were second best. But this was Arne Slot's Liverpool, who have made a habit of scoring late winners. By the time captain Virgil van Dijk planted home a powerful header to snatch a 3-2 victory, the stoppage-time winner felt as inevitable as it did thrilling for the home fans.

Conceding four goals here, two in stoppage time, is incredibly frustrating for me. Getting a point here is okay, but of course we would have preferred to win. We simply have to finish the game more coolly and composed. You just have to push the ball forward, play down the clock, and get it done. We simply have to play more mature football in the end.

As a game it was a fantastic spectacle and both teams had chances. I think it was fitting that they both scored unbelievable free-kicks. Manning's was outstanding but he was definitely out-done by Irankunda - it was a worldie. I like the look of both sides and there is a lot of expectation on them both, especially Southampton as they have just come down from the Premier League.
