Meteorologist Greg Dewhurst noted that many areas have recently faced rain, leading to saturated ground and increased flood risks, stating, "A lot of these areas have been hit by rain in the past few weeks, which means the ground is already saturated." He emphasized the ongoing disruption and encouraged caution for those traveling amid these conditions, noting the potential for accumulated travel delays as rivers take time to respond to heavy rainfall.
