The announcement of a "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership" between Brussels and Hanoi last week places the EU side by side with China, the United States, and Russia as one of Vietnam's top-tier diplomatic relationships. Vietnamese President Luong Cuong described it as a "historical milestone underlining the great achievements that the two sides have made," during a meeting with the head of the European Council, Antonio Costa, in Hanoi.

The Tigers and Rays announced a trade that sends outfielder Justyn-Henry Malloy to Tampa Bay for cash considerations. Detroit had designated him for assignment before the holiday DFA freeze when they officially re-signed reliever Kyle Finnegan.

The Sharks started the first period strong and fast, testing the inexperienced Dennis Hildeby in net for Toronto. After about the first 5 minutes, Toronto mostly controlled the play, keeping most of the Sharks' offense to the outside and blocking shots before they even got to their goalie. There was a lot of optimism that perhaps Giménez could return to the form he had in 2022 when he slashed .297/.371/.466 with 17 home runs in 557 plate appearances. His month of March was encouraging, as he hit three home runs in his first five games, but his play dropped like a rock from there. As a whole, the second baseman slashed .210/.285/.313 with seven home runs in 369 plate appearances for a career-worst 70 wRC+.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Colts cornerback Sauce Gardner sustained a left calf injury early in Sunday's game against the Houston Texans and has been ruled out for the remainder of the day. Gardner was in coverage away from the action on the Texans' second play from scrimmage when he went down with a noncontact injury. He remained on the ground for an extended period while trainers dealt with him, then limped off with assistance. After a quick examination in the injury tent, Gardner was helped to the locker room.

For me, I would love to see Raffy finish his career as a Red Sox and have that smile on his face and hit 30 home runs for 20 years.

After the Bengals reduced his playing time, linebacker Logan Wilson requested a trade out of Cincinnati in late October.
