A man has been rushed to hospital after suffering a stab wound in Limerick this morning. The man sustained at least one stab wound to the side of his abdomen. He was found injured in the Carew Park area of the city around 11am this morning, and then rushed by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick. His injury is believed to be serious but not life threatening. More to follow...
The HSE Mid West has said it accepts "full institutional responsibility" for the "catastrophic and irreparable harm caused" when teenager Jessica Sheedy died at University Hospital Limerick.
