Koni De Winter has officially joined AC Milan from Genoa on a five-year deal worth €18m plus performance-related add-ons. At 23 years old, he is the fourth new signing for the Milan team ahead of the 2024-25 season and will reunite with coach Massimiliano Allegri. De Winter is versatile, able to play both centre-back and right-back. Last season, he recorded 76 aerial duels and scored three goals in Serie A, contributing significantly to his former team's performance.
"I cannot describe my emotions, it doesn't seem real. It's really like a dream," De Winter told the official Milan YouTube Channel.
"I want to do well and gain more experience. Not everyone gets to wear this jersey, so I want to enjoy every moment of it."
De Winter becomes Milan's fourth new signing ahead of the 2024-25 campaign, reuniting with Massimiliano Allegri at the San Siro.
The Belgian international scored three times in Serie A last season, the joint-second-highest tally for Genoa in the division.
