Midtown Taco Mac Location Closes Within a Few Weeks of the Original
Briefly

After the closure of the original Taco Mac in Virginia-Highlands, the Midtown location on Peachtree Street has also abruptly shut down. A sign in the window expressed gratitude to the community for the memories shared over the years. Having started in 1979, Taco Mac has been a popular spot for sports viewing and casual dining. Recent closures, including locations in Lindbergh and Decatur, reflect a strategic realignment under Fresh Hospitality, which acquired the brand in 2018, as they aim for growth in the region while maintaining several operational locations around Atlanta.
Serving this community has been an incredible honor. We've cherished every moment - from cheering on our local sports teams together to celebrating special milestones.
The original location shuttered as the restaurant chain focused on growth in the Southeast, indicating that this closure was a strategic move.
