Barcelona forward Raphinha responded to being left on the bench after arriving late for an activation session by scoring a brace in Sunday's thumping 6-0 win over Valencia in LaLiga. Fermín López and Robert Lewandowski also scored two goals each as Barça made it 10 points from 12 in the league this season, while Marc Bernal made his return to action after 383 days sidelined with a torn ACL.

Brugge finished second in Belgium and Eintracht Frankfurt were third in Germany, while Chelsea were fourth in England and Newcastle were fifth. Such was the demand, there were over 110,000 users in an online queue as remaining seats for next week's hotly anticipated opening group match at St James' Park went on sale on Tuesday. But it has emerged that 45 tickets for the 18 September fixture had already been claimed by the High School of Dundee, which purchased them after being "approached by an approved provider".
The club had been given permission to play their first three fixtures away from home in order to complete the first phase of construction work at their stadium, and that was followed by the international break. Despite the salary that would allow him to deck out his new apartment with luxury Spanish design, Rashford was recently spotted making a very ordinary shopping trip to IKEA. The Manchester United loanee was seen wandering the aisles of the Swedish furniture giant in the city centre, slider-clad and carrying one of IKEA's trademark blue bags.

The nearly month-long strike reached an end after the lifeguards were able to reach an agreement with the Council that landed them improvements to their working conditions and action to meet their most important demands.
Positive signs. Things are moving and developing in a good way at the moment. Until it's done I can't confirm anything but fingers crossed.
