The New England Patriots are actively pursuing a top wide receiver in the offseason and have shown interest in free agent Stefon Diggs, a four-time Pro Bowler recovering from a torn ACL. During a recent event, Eliot Wolf acknowledged Diggs as a great player and mentioned ongoing communication with his agents. Despite visiting Foxborough, Diggs did not finalize a deal, presenting the Patriots with options as they hold the fourth overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, potentially targeting receiver help there as well.
Prior to his 2024 season (limited to eight games due to the injury), Diggs was a metronome of consistent high production among wide receivers.
Stefon, obviously, a really good player. He was coming off an injury last year, so it was something we wanted to take a look and see where that was at.
