Firefighter Jeffrey Deschenes, who served with the North Andover Fire Department since 2012, recently passed away following a medical emergency at home. Initially starting his career in Lawrence, Deschenes emerged as a pivotal figure when he became the first EMS Coordinator in North Andover in 2019. His initiatives included launching several community programs and upgrading department technology. He was lauded by Fire Chief Weir for his contributions and recognized for his lifesaving efforts with awards, leaving behind a cherished legacy and a grieving family.
Deschenes brought the North Andover Fire Department into the modern era of emergency medicine, and his life's work saved and improved countless lives.
He was always willing to lend a helping hand, looking out for his fellow firefighters, friends, family, and the community.
