"Three weeks after the body of a man who managed San Francisco's legendary topless bar, the Condor Club, was found lying in a bike lane on a Santa Rosa street, details on the suspect and possible motivation are emerging. On Friday, Oct. 3, close to 6:30 a.m., a resident in Santa Rosa reported a body in the road on the 2200 block of Brookwood Avenue."
"Detectives then executed a search warrant at the home to gather more evidence for the ongoing homicide investigation. Both suspects were initially facing murder charges, but during an appearance at Sonoma County Superior Court on Tuesday, Morton was charged with only "accessory after the fact," meaning she is accused of assisting someone who has committed a felony to avoid arrest, trial or punishment. She pleaded not guilty and was released from custody on pretrial supervision."
Mark Calcagni, 60, manager of the Condor Club, was found dead with a gunshot wound in a Santa Rosa bike lane on Oct. 3. Two former employees, Richard Lund, 43, and Asia Morton, 25, both Dublin residents, were arrested in connection with the killing after being fired from the club. Police said termination was at least one motivating factor and detectives executed a search warrant at the suspects' home to gather evidence. Lund faces murder and illegal firearms charges and is held without bail; Morton was charged with accessory after the fact, pleaded not guilty, and was released on pretrial supervision.
