Woman's appeal rejected in 2015 Golden Gate Park, Marin murders

Lila Alligood, 28, was convicted in a crime spree that resulted in the murders of Steve Carter and Audrey Carey in 2015. After her conviction, she sought a reduced sentence based on a recent state law but was denied by a Marin County judge. An appeal to the 1st District Court of Appeal was also rejected, with the court finding substantial evidence for her guilt in both murders. Alligood is currently incarcerated at the Central California Women's Facility.
