Lamar Buffin, 32, has been charged with human trafficking, pimping, and forcible rape of a woman he allegedly persuaded into prostitution. He was arrested on July 1 after a report from a concerned individual. The victim stated she met Buffin days prior, who offered to help her life but later assaulted her. Buffin allegedly threatened her with a gun and physically attacked her when she resisted. He has prior felony convictions and was released from jail after posting bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 20.
The victim reported that after initially agreeing to work as a prostitute, she became reluctant and was subsequently threatened, assaulted, and raped by Buffin.
Buffin allegedly became aggressive, threatening the woman with a gun and physically assaulting her multiple times when she refused to comply with his demands.
