Ford is introducing electric counterparts of its iconic Bronco, aiming to release both a fully electric version and an extended-range EV. The first models will cater to the Chinese market, featuring a 105.4-kWh battery for 404 miles of range, with the EREV version incorporating a 1.5-liter gas engine and a 43.7-kWh battery for 137 miles of electric-only range. The involvement of BYD's battery technology signifies China's significant role in the EV ecosystem. Unfortunately for North American enthusiasts, the electrified Bronco may not be available in the U.S. soon.
