Whitney Announce New Album Small Talk, Shares "Dandelions"
Briefly

Whitney, a Chicago duo, will release their fourth studio album titled Small Talk on November 7th through AWAL. The album's first single, 'Dandelions,' has already been shared. The duo self-produced the project starting in the summer of 2024. 'Dandelions' reflects the personal experiences of band members Julien Ehrlich and Max Kakacek, touching on themes of lost relationships and Midwestern pride. Whitney is also preparing for an extensive North American tour later this month, including sets with Caamp and Shakey Graves.
"A couple years ago Max (Kakacek) and I were both on the brink of moving across the country to be closer to the people we were dating at the time. Over the span of a few months both relationships somewhat abruptly crumbled, leaving us with equal parts confusion and sadness, mourning the futures that would have accompanied those relationships as well as the relationships themselves."
"Inspired by those events (and on a whim of Midwestern pride) we wound up spinning the story of 'Dandelions' into one of a big city hopeful who gets chewed up and spit back out into the heartland."
Small Talk, the fourth album by Whitney, is set to release on November 7th via AWAL, following the single 'Dandelions' which showcases their personal experiences.
Whitney is embarking on a headlining tour, with upcoming North American dates that include opening sets for Caamp and Shakey Graves.
