As opening day nears, Chicago White Sox juggle injuries with roster decisions: 'Always a couple twists'
Briefly

As the Chicago White Sox approach opening day, they confront several injury issues that could affect their roster. Infielder Josh Rojas is dealing with a hairline fracture in his toe, while outfielder Mike Tauchman has a mild hamstring strain. General Manager Chris Getz indicated that they are cautiously monitoring the situation and may place Rojas on the injured list temporarily. Additional roster changes occurred with the release of Brandon Drury, who suffered a fractured thumb. The team is preparing for various scenarios as spring training ends.
We're trying to get to the finish line of spring training, put together an opening-day roster, there's always a couple twists and we just so happen to have a couple guys that have minor injuries.
But we expect it to be a quick stint for Rojas while he recovers from the hairline fracture.
We're still deciding on whether we IL him or push him on opening day. We're leaning toward a more conservative route of IL'ing him.
Drury had a strong spring cut short by a fractured left thumb suffered on Thursday.
