Kai DeBerry-Bostick, a 28-year-old ex-sorority member and cheerleader, faces serious legal issues after recklessly driving into a Maryland street festival while ignoring police. Caught on bodycam, her defiance and entitled behavior are evident, as she insists on reaching work despite the crowd around her. Authorities reported minor injuries to a police officer, yet no serious casualties were noted among festival-goers. The incident highlights a troubling attitude towards authority and responsibility, especially given her background as an honor student and athlete.
"I need to get out, I need to get out," DeBerry-Bostick tells the officer in the video. "I gotta go."
Laurel police said the officer suffered minor injuries but no one else was hurt.
The ex-college student is finally pulled out of the car and handcuffed on the pavement, video shows.
"You cannot get out," the cop says. "I can't help you with that. Please do not disturb this area."
