Inside the Textured World of 'Daredevil: Born Again
Briefly

"Daredevil: Born Again" distinguishes itself through its realistic narrative centered on Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer battling his inner demons and external foes. This new iteration signifies a transformative phase in Murdock's life, aiming to leave behind his superhero persona while facing challenges from his nemesis, Wilson Fisk. The show's creative team pursued a more grounded aesthetic, moving away from the stylized visuals of its predecessor, drawing inspiration from gritty New York stories in cinema, which aims for authenticity in its storytelling and character development.
The challenge for the show's creative team, however, was developing a visceral signature style that could stand on its own. The mandate was for the same scope, scale, and stakes of a "Daredevil" story, if not even bigger.
Cinematographer Hillary Fyfe Spera shot the seven out of the nine episodes... Spera... said "Daredevil: Born Again" wanted to move towards "A really grounded sort of more naturalistic approach that felt textured, grittier."
