BART is selecting a development team for a significant project to build hundreds of apartments on the west parking lot of the Ashby station. Two developer teams have been chosen as finalists, with a community forum scheduled for May 22 to allow residents to question these teams about their qualifications and past work. The selection process will include a public survey that incorporates resident feedback, and the BART Board of Directors will ultimately decide on the developer this summer. A separate housing initiative is underway on the east lot as well.
