Bespoke cake maker and school feature in latest food hygiene ratings
Briefly

The latest food hygiene ratings in Waltham Forest have been released, following inspections by environmental health officers. These inspections check facilities against hygiene requirements set by the Food Standards Agency, focusing on cleanliness, food safety management procedures, and hygienic food handling. Ratings for businesses are given on a scale from five to zero, with five representing very good standards. Brookfield House School, Papermill Cakes, and WF Catering at Oakhill Primary have all received a five rating in their recent inspections.
Environmental health officers have been visiting places in the last fortnight to see if they are meeting hygiene requirements based on guidelines set by the Food Standards Agency.
Inspectors look to see how clean the facilities are; what food safety management procedures are in place and how hygienic food handling is.
Ratings are dished out from five to zero with the higher score indicating a better result.
Brookfield House School at Alders Avenue, Woodford Green, rated 5 on July 2, 2025, along with Papermill Cakes and WF Catering at Oakhill Primary.
