The National Association of Realtors and the Realtors Relief Foundation express sorrow over the tragic floods in Texas, with over 160 people missing and damages estimated at $18 billion to $22 billion. NAR is collaborating with Texas Realtors to allocate $500,000 for disaster relief. The foundation has a long history of support, having provided over $40 million in aid to more than 20,000 families during its 20 years of operation, ensuring all funds raised are directed to relief efforts without administrative costs.
We know that the recovery efforts will take time and commitment, and we are working closely with Texas Realtors and local Realtor associations to make sure that the $500,000 we are providing goes toward supporting communities in areas affected by the flooding.
NAR covers all administrative costs of the foundation and works to ensure that all funds raised are directed to natural disaster relief.
More than 160 people are still missing in the flood region, while early estimates of the damage from the disaster range from $18 billion to $22 billion.
Across 20 years of existence, the foundation has distributed more than $40 million in aid to more than 20,000 families across the U.S. and its territories.
